APH stands for Airport Parking and Hotels and is a British provider of car parks, hotels and lounges at airports. It suits anyone flying from the UK who drives to the airport and wants to book the parking space, a hotel night before the flight or a lounge together. By its own account, the company has been in business since 1980 and is family-owned.
What you can book
On the home page you pick an airport, drop-off and return time and have matching offers shown. Options include Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton Port, Southend and Stansted. The range covers:
- Car parks, including meet and greet
- Hotel and parking combinations
- Hotel rooms on their own
- Lounges
- Travel extras such as car hire, travel insurance, currency cards and airport transfers
In total APH names more than 150 car parks, hotels and lounges at UK airports.
What the booking really costs
On the site APH promises no hidden fees or booking charges. That is a good starting point, but it is still worth looking at the total price:
- Type of car park: Meet and greet usually costs more than a car park with a bus to the terminal. Check how far the walk to the terminal is.
- Terminal: At some airports such as Gatwick there are north and south terminals. Pick the right one so you do not end up at the wrong end.
- Period: If you return later than booked, you may have to pay extra. Allow a buffer.
- Extras: Insurance, car hire or currency cards are separate items and not part of the parking price.
- Hotel package: With a hotel and parking package, check whether breakfast and parking days are in the price.
Cancellation and payment
APH advertises flexible booking. How far a car park or hotel can be changed or cancelled depends on the offer you choose. Check the cancellation terms and payment methods in the booking flow before you book. The site points to secure payment. You manage changes through the manage booking area or myAPH.
How to save
No vouchers are currently listed on our site. Combine the cashback with early booking, because cheap spaces vanish quickly around holiday dates. APH is also a partner for Tesco Clubcard vouchers, which can be worth more for parking. Check for yourself whether redeeming Clubcard vouchers and the cashback work together in the same booking before you pay.
Tips
- Compare at least two offers at the same airport by total price and distance to the terminal.
- With a night before departure, hotel and parking often works out better than two separate bookings.
- Photograph your car at drop-off.
- Note the car park's phone number and keep the confirmation ready.
- Keep the confirmation until the cashback is confirmed.
Hotel and parking in detail
The combination pays off with early flights. You stay near the airport, leave the car in the car park and skip the drive in the morning. Check in the description how you get from the hotel to the terminal, whether a shuttle runs and how long the parking is included in the price. On longer trips this is where offers differ.
Who it is for
APH suits travellers from UK airports who prefer to book everything with one provider. If you only need a single space, it is best to compare other parking sites too, as the price can differ from offer to offer. For short trips a car park with a bus can pay off, and for long trips with lots of luggage or children the more convenient variant.
Booking with cashback
The cashback runs through daily cashback. First open the daily cashback store page for APH, continue from there to the provider and book as usual. The credit arrives once the trip is confirmed. You can see the current rate on our provider page at TripPrice.
