Klook vs GetYourGuide: where are tours and tickets cheaper? The answer is not on a price list, because both platforms sell places that others offer, and the price changes with date, operator and fare. It helps more to look at the rules around the purchase: fees, cancellation route, refund time and credit. Fees and price
Klook states in its help centre that it charges no additional handling fees for booking an activity. Your bank can still add a foreign transaction fee if you do not pay in the local currency of your card, and PayPal may carry charges of its own. You can book in many currencies, among them euros, pounds, Swiss francs and krona.
At GetYourGuide the displayed price includes the commission the operator pays. The amount at checkout equals the displayed price minus any discounts and is due straight away, except for activities with pay later. GetYourGuide does not issue a tax invoice. According to its terms, search rankings also weigh popularity, ratings and supplier commission, so the order of results is not a pure price ranking.
Cancelling and refunds
Klook has three kinds of rules, all visible on the offer before you buy. If free cancellation applies, you cancel yourself in the bookings area with the Apply for refund button. With conditional cancellation it depends on conditions, for example a handling charge or a cancellation because of weather, and customer support steps in. Activities without cancellation get no refund. Klook starts an approved refund within 24 hours. After that it takes 7 to 14 business days for cards and Apple or Google Pay, 7 to 10 for online banking and 14 to 30 for bank transfer.
GetYourGuide shows a deadline for each activity until which you can cancel for a full refund, and advertises free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead in general. If the operator cancels or is delayed, its terms place the refund outside GetYourGuide's responsibility. Customer service says it usually answers within 24 hours and at the latest within 48.
Credit, codes and paying later
Klook rewards reviews with KlookCash. You need at least 10 KlookCash to use it as a discount at checkout. It expires 365 days after it was earned, cannot be transferred and cannot be exchanged for cash. It does not apply to passes, e-gift cards, travel insurance and some events. Codes come through the Klook home page, social channels, friend referrals and Value Packs.
On some activities GetYourGuide lets you reserve first and settle later. Your credit card is only verified at first and charged three days before the start. Its terms add a price match: show the identical activity from the identical operator at a lower price and GetYourGuide covers the gap. Member-only offers and company rates are excluded.

GetYourGuide suits you if you look for a tour or experience with a fixed deadline and would rather pay shortly before the start. The price match can be worth using if the same slot looks cheaper elsewhere and you can document it.
