Flugladen is a flight site that has compared and sold cheap flights for more than 15 years. You search by destination and date, see offers from several airlines and book there. It suits anyone who is flexible on days and airports and keeps an eye on the total price.
What you can book on Flugladen
Mainly flights: return, one-way or with several stops. Open-jaw bookings are possible too, where you arrive in one city and fly home from another. There are also hotels, run through a partnership with Trip.com, and rental cars. Handy features include filters, alternative airport suggestions and a date search with a margin of three days either side of your preferred date.
What a booking really costs
Prices shown are per person and, for return flights, include taxes. On top of that, the provider charges a booking fee of 19.99 euros per booking. It is shown separately from the ticket price, so include it in your comparison. For several travellers the fee is per reservation, not per head. That can decide the difference against booking directly with the airline, so always compare the final amount.
The front page says nothing about baggage. Check during checkout whether checked baggage is in your fare, otherwise it is often an extra.
Cancellation and payment
Cancellation and changes follow the airline fare. Cheap fares are often non-refundable. Read the conditions before paying. The name on the ticket must match your passport exactly, so check the spelling carefully. Flight prices move constantly with demand and availability, so an offer can look different next time you open it.
How to save
Flexibility saves the most: use the date search, compare nearby airports and check whether another weekday is cheaper. Current vouchers and deals are listed on our provider page. The current cashback rate is on our provider page and varies by type of booking.
For cashback: click through daily cashback before you search for flights, switch off your ad blocker for the booking and finish everything in one session.
Booking with cashback
- Open the daily cashback shop page for Flugladen.
- Click through to Flugladen and only then start your flight search.
- Book with your ad blocker off.
- Finish the booking in the same session.
The reward is credited after the trip is confirmed, for flights usually after departure.
Who Flugladen suits
The site fits if you want to see flights from several airlines side by side and are flexible on date and airport. Travelling alone, the 19.99 euro booking fee weighs more than with four people on one reservation. So check whether the same connection is cheaper directly with the airline. For open-jaw trips, say flying into Rome and home from Naples, searching through a portal often saves time because you do not have to piece single flights together.
Take a moment before paying to check dates, times and names. A wrong spelling can often only be fixed for a fee later.
After booking you get the confirmation by email, often with an airline reference number. With it you can check in online and add a seat or baggage with the airline if needed. Keep the confirmation until the trip and the cashback credit are complete.
Plan the trip to the airport and your time at check-in as well. With basic fares the desk often closes earlier, and bags or cabin bags are sometimes charged heavily at the gate. If you sort this out beforehand, you save yourself stress and extra costs.
Tips
- Include the booking fee in every price comparison.
- Check baggage and connection times before you pay.
- Enter your name exactly as in your passport.
- Save the confirmation and the airline reference for check-in.
