Travel-Overland is a German travel agency with online booking for flights, package holidays, car hire, hotels and cruises. It suits you if you compare long haul flights, round the world trips or package deals and want someone on the phone when questions come up.
What you can book
The focus is on flights: scheduled flights worldwide, open jaw tickets, round the world fares, business and first class, direct flights and air passes. There are also package holidays, last minute and early booking deals, city breaks, club holidays, tours, ski holidays, cruises, car hire, hotels, airport parking and travel insurance. For package holidays the site offers deals from several tour operators such as TUI or FTI.

What a booking really costs
The flight price is per person for the return trip unless you picked one way. Taxes and airline charges are part of the fare, and paying by credit card can add a surcharge. You see the amount when you choose the payment method.
For budget airlines such as Ryanair or Easyjet, the booking runs in the airline system and the airline also takes the payment for the ticket. Travel-Overland charges a service fee of 10 euros per person for this, collected separately. Baggage is not automatically in the ticket. The booking step shows a suitcase symbol when a bag is included, and with budget airlines you add baggage only in the fourth step.
Plan for extra costs on special requests too. Sports equipment, children travelling alone or pets are booked by phone through the service centre. A phone booking carries an extra service fee, and the amount is stated beforehand. If you live abroad, courier costs can apply for sending the documents.
Cancellation and payment
Changes and cancellations go through customer service by email or phone. Whether a flight can be changed depends on the fare. A change counts as a cancellation followed by a new booking, and so does a name change. The fee can be up to 100 per cent of the ticket price, plus service charges that are not refunded. The exact amount is in the fare rules of your offer and on your confirmation. An air ticket is a personal document and cannot be transferred.
You pay by credit card, and with a German bank account also by direct debit. If you live abroad you need a card issued in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden or Luxembourg.
How to save
Look at what the fare includes before you sort only by the lowest price. A ticket without baggage can cost more with a suitcase than a slightly dearer fare that includes one. Airline vouchers cannot be applied to online flight bookings. Which coupons apply to Travel-Overland is shown on our provider page.
Booking with cashback
The cashback runs through daily cashback. Here is how to do it:
- Open the daily cashback store page for Travel-Overland and click through to the provider from there.
- Pick your booking and pay as usual with Travel-Overland.
- Finish everything in the same browser tab, without visiting other sites in between.
Three things matter with this provider: click the daily cashback link first and only then add anything to your basket, pause ad blockers and privacy extensions at checkout, and use only the coupons shown for this provider at daily cashback. The reward is credited once the trip is confirmed. You can see the current rate on the Travel-Overland provider page at TripPrice. You book directly with Travel-Overland.
Who Travel-Overland suits
The provider is strong when you plan a complicated route, such as an open jaw flight or a world trip, and value advice by phone. For a simple budget flight on a standard route the agency adds little, because the 10 euro fee per person comes on top. In that case compare the final price with the airline price.
Tips
- Enter names exactly as in the passport. Later changes are treated like a new booking.
- Check the confirmation for baggage and meals included.
- Look in your inbox and spam folder after booking. The ticket arrives within 24 hours.
- Flights departing within 24 hours can only be booked by phone.
