AttractionTix is a British seller of tickets for theme parks and attractions. The company behind the name is Attraction World Limited in Birmingham. It suits families and city-break travellers who want to buy tickets for parks like Disneyland Paris or PortAventura in advance and in pounds.
What you can book there
The range runs from theme parks to sightseeing and tours, combo tickets, experiences, special events and extras. The home page lists Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Resort California, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, PortAventura World, Siam Park, SEA LIFE London Aquarium and the Burj Khalifa, among others. Now and then the seller also sells an overnight stay together with tickets. That counts as a package with its own rules. According to the booking conditions, though, most bookings are tickets or vouchers only. There is a UK site and an Irish site, the Irish one prices in euros, and the baskets are kept separate.
What a booking really costs
With admission tickets the ticket price is usually the main item, which is exactly why it is worth looking at what surrounds it. Check which age group the price covers, because child prices and age limits are set by each park. See whether the ticket has a fixed date or is flexible within a validity period, and whether it includes several parks. A one-park ticket is cheaper, but it costs you extra if you end up wanting a second park. If you pay from outside the UK, remember that prices are in pounds and your bank may charge fees when it converts.
There is also a price promise. The seller matches the prices of British ticket sellers, but only for like-for-like tickets, on request at booking or within 24 hours afterwards, and not for special offers or packages.
Cancellation and payment
This is the main trap. Many tickets are non-refundable, and unused tickets are generally not refunded unless the product terms say otherwise. The rule that applies is on the page of the individual ticket. Changes to the date or the number of guests work by cancelling the booking and creating a new one, and if the price has gone up in the meantime you pay the difference. You cancel by phone or email.
You pay with common debit and credit cards, and the checkout shows the exact choice. According to the booking conditions the full amount is due at booking. Super Payments adds instalments, either three interest-free payments or six months and longer at a variable rate, in both cases subject to a credit check. Tickets mostly arrive digitally by email, some only shortly before the trip. A booking counts as confirmed only once you have the tickets, so do not book flights or a hotel before you have them.
How to save
The biggest lever is travel time, since ticket prices change with season and day. Then there is price comparison and the price promise. You can also collect cashback through daily cashback. You can see the current rate and current vouchers and deals on our provider page. Note one rule from the booking conditions: if you use a discount code, no cashback is awarded through cashback sites. So decide in advance whether the code or the cashback is worth more to you, and run the numbers on both.
Booking with cashback
Cashback runs through daily cashback. Here is how it works:
- Open the daily cashback store page for AttractionTix.
- Click through from there to AttractionTix.
- Book as usual, in the same browser and without interruption.
- Complete the booking and keep the confirmation.
The cashback is credited once the trip is confirmed.
Tips
- Read the cancellation rule of the individual ticket before you pay, not just the general page.
- Check date, number of parks and age group in the ticket.
- Save tickets on your phone, as most parks accept mobile tickets.
- Bring photo ID, because some attractions ask for it from the lead traveller.
- Book travel and hotel only once the tickets are with you.
You can see the current cashback rate, as well as current vouchers and deals, on the AttractionTix provider page at TripPrice. You book directly with AttractionTix.
