Skiset rents skis, snowboards, boots and accessories and says it has around 780 shops right in the ski resorts. You reserve online, collect the gear in the shop and hand it back there. It is a good fit if you would rather not travel with a bag full of ski equipment, or if your kids outgrow their gear every season.
What you can book
You pick the resort, the rental period and the shop, then put together your package. There are ski and snowboard packs with boots, poles and helmet, kids equipment, sledges and accessories. The site is built in French and offers several languages, including English and German. Quality levels run from a budget starter pack to premium skis. On models marked as guaranteed you can choose a specific model.
- Packs of skis or snowboard with boots and poles
- Equipment for children and teenagers
- Helmets, sledges and accessories
- Pick-up in the shop, in some places with quick collection (Skiset Drive)
What a booking really costs
Prices are final prices including VAT, charged in euros or Swiss francs depending on the destination. On top comes a handling fee of 1.50 euros (1.65 francs) for each rented item. You can add an optional damage and theft cover. It costs from about 1 euro a day, depending on the gear and covers damage and theft of the rented items, but not loss or forgetting them. The seventh rental day is free on online orders, and that matters for refunds, because the free day is not refunded.
You pay by card. Visa and Mastercard cards are accepted, and PayPal and other payment routes are mentioned. Fees your own bank charges for foreign currency or payments abroad are yours to cover.
Cancellation and collection
Under the terms for customers living outside France, you can withdraw within 14 days of the order confirmation as long as the rental has not started. After that, cancelling stays free until 24 hours before the first rental day, and you get back the rental, the cover and the fees. The day before is too late: if your first day on skis is a Sunday, you must cancel by Friday 23:59. Gear you do not collect is not refunded, and neither are strikes, travel problems or work reasons. If illness or an accident happens during the rental, you get a pro rata refund when you send a medical certificate. For customers living in France travelling in France, separate terms apply and are linked on the site.
To collect, show the voucher as an email, a booking number or a QR code. The shop keeps reserved gear for up to 24 hours after the booked start day. Enter size, weight and shoe size when you book so everything is ready. You must be at least 18 to book.
How to save
The home page advertises a family offer: from four packs there is an additional discount. The free seventh day saves one day in a ski week. Which deals and coupons are running now is shown on our provider page. For cashback, do not use codes from other sites.
Booking with cashback
The cashback runs through daily cashback. Here is how to do it:
- Open the daily cashback store page for Skiset and click through to the provider from there.
- Pick your booking and pay as usual with Skiset.
- Finish everything in the same browser tab, without visiting other sites in between.
The reward is credited once the trip is confirmed. You can see the current rate on the Skiset provider page at TripPrice. You book directly with Skiset.

- Read the cancellation deadline and note the cut-off. It ends 24 hours before the first rental day.
- Check whether your chosen shop is open on the arrival day and plan the pick-up.
