Xcaret runs several adventure parks, tours and hotels around Cancún and the Riviera Maya in Mexico. It is a good fit if you plan excursions on your trip and would rather not buy tickets at the gate once you arrive.

What you can book

The Xcaret group is more than the park that gave it its name. The site lists:

  • Parks such as Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses and Xoxi
  • Tours, including Xenotes, Chichén Itzá, Tulum with Xel-Há, ATV rides and catamaran trips to Isla Mujeres
  • Three hotels: Hotel Xcaret México for families, Hotel Xcaret Arte for adults only and La Casa de la Playa as the luxury house, also adults only
  • Ferries and catamaran trips

The main park lists more than 50 attractions plus an evening show. If you stay in the area for several days, do not book every park. Pick one or two that suit your group. A snorkelling beach day and an adventure park on the same day are hard to manage.

What a booking really costs

Ticket tiers differ: there are standard tickets, versions with lunch and tickets that include the night show. Compare the tiers by what you will actually use, because the ticket with food is not automatically cheaper than entry plus a meal in the park. The site mentions savings for early online purchase and discounts on combination tickets for several parks. Children from 0 to 4 enter free. For older children, watch for family offers.

Also factor in your travel to the park and any equipment. How lockers, showers or snorkel gear are charged is shown in the ticket details, so read it there. The same goes for hotel stays: check what the room price includes.

Cancellation and payment

Several payment methods are accepted, and according to the site there is an instalment option called Flex Pay. A weather guarantee and travel insurance are offered as well. The exact cancellation terms are on a separate page of the provider. Check the cancellation terms of your ticket before you book, since they can vary by park and rate. Customer service is reachable every day by phone, WhatsApp, chat and Messenger.

How to save

Offers are listed on the provider page through daily cashback all the time, for example combination tickets, family deals, holiday promotions and discount codes for individual tours. Some need a code, others apply automatically. Read the period and the terms of each one. Keep in mind that coupon purchases have their own cashback entry. If you book with a code, check beforehand whether the cashback still applies.

Tips

  • Book online early, before you travel, and check opening hours in advance.
  • Plan only one park per day.
  • With several children, check age and height rules for the attractions first.
  • Turn off ad blockers and avoid private tabs, otherwise your visit through daily cashback may not be recorded.

A practical thought on planning: lay out the order of your travel days before you buy. If you arrive tired on the first day, do not put the park on that day, and if you have a free day before your flight home, it is better used for a shorter tour. A ticket you cannot use because of weather or fatigue costs more than any saving. When in doubt, ask about change options before you pay.

Booking with cashback

The cashback runs through daily cashback. Open the daily cashback page for Xcaret Global, which covers parks, tours and hotels, first, click through to the provider from there and then book as usual. The cashback is credited after the trip is confirmed, not at the moment of booking. Keep your booking confirmation until the credit shows as confirmed, use a normal browser window and switch off ad blockers or tracking protection for the booking. You can see the current rate on our provider page for Xcaret Global.

One note on the process: keep your order confirmation until the cashback shows as confirmed in your account.
