Aerolite is an online shop for travel luggage: cabin cases, large hard-shell suitcases, trunks, travel bags and children's cases. The German shop organises its range by airline, among other things, so you can find a piece that matches your airline's dimensions. It suits frequent flyers, low-cost holidaymakers and anyone who wants luggage with a warranty before the next trip.
What you can buy there
The homepage has categories for cabin luggage, suitcases and trunks, plus pages for Lufthansa, Eurowings, Ryanair, TUIfly, SunExpress, KLM and easyJet. The models range from light soft-shell trolleys through ABS polycarbonate hard-shell cases to cases with aluminium frames, a laptop compartment and a USB port. There are also hand luggage backpacks, sets and ride-on cases for children. Many items carry the target size in the name, for example 55 x 40 x 20 centimetres for small cabin luggage.
What the purchase really costs
Prices are in euros. The shop advertises free delivery but marks it with an asterisk on the homepage. So read the checkout to see whether conditions apply to your order. According to the FAQ standard delivery takes two to three working days. Parcels are sent with tracking and proof of receipt, which means someone has to be at home at delivery. The warehouse for Germany is in Wunstorf.
One point many people miss: if you buy luggage for a specific flight, measure against your airline's rules and compare with the product. Sorting by airline helps but does not replace a look at the luggage rules of your fare.
Returns, warranty and payment
- You have a voluntary 30 day return right from receipt and, on top, the statutory 14 day right of withdrawal.
- For a manufacturing fault, transport damage or malfunction the shop bears the return costs and sends you a prepaid label. If you simply change your mind, you pay the return postage yourself.
- There are no exchanges. You return the item, get the purchase price refunded and order the other model again.
- The manufacturer's warranty is five to ten years depending on the model, and the product page of some models states even more. It applies in addition to statutory warranty rights.
- Payment is by credit and debit card, PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
Important for damage during a flight: the warranty only covers manufacturing defects. If the airline damages your case, report it at the airport right away and have a damage report issued. Carriers are liable for such damage.
Check at ordering that name, address and phone number are correct, because the carrier needs them for delivery. Since delivery is made in person only, choose an address where someone is present during the day, such as your workplace or a neighbour by arrangement. Read the delivery terms at checkout before you submit, and do not wait too long to unpack so the return period works for you.
How to save
On the homepage the shop shows a crossed-out price with a percentage on many items. Compare the price with warranty length and features, not just with the crossed-out price. A cheap hard-shell case without extras is enough for the occasional holiday, while frequent flyers benefit more from sturdy wheels and a long warranty. Sets are usually cheaper per piece but only pay off if you need both sizes.
Tips
- Check your fare: dimensions, weight and the number of permitted pieces differ by airline and price tier.
- Take the empty weight of the case into account, it counts towards the allowed total.
- Pack a trial load after delivery and test zips, wheels and lock while you can still return it.
- Keep the invoice, you need it for warranty claims.
Booking with cashback
The cashback runs through daily cashback. First open the daily cashback store page for Aerolite, go from there to the provider and book as usual. The credit arrives after the order has been confirmed and the return period has passed. You can see the current rate on our provider page at TripPrice. Current vouchers and deals are listed there as well.
