ETI Express Travel International is a Frankfurt-based tour operator specialising in package holidays to Egypt and Tunisia. It calls itself a sun specialist since 1998. It is interesting for anyone who wants flight and hotel in one package, would like to start with a small deposit and prefers to have the trip protected.
What you can book there
The homepage is organised by destinations, all-inclusive deals, last minute and Red Sea hotels. You search either for flight and hotel or hotel only. You pick a destination or hotel, the departure airport, the travel period and the number of travellers, and can then filter by board type, room type and airline. According to the operator the cheapest offer is always shown first. You can book online around the clock or by phone through the service centre.
What the booking really costs
The displayed price is per person and, for package holidays, includes flight, hotel and the chosen board. On the way to the booking you can select extras, including the Flex option. It costs 49 euros per adult and 19 euros for children aged two to eleven, while infants up to and including one year pay nothing. You can only add it on the day of booking, the fee is due immediately and not refundable. In return you can rebook or cancel free of charge up to 28 days before departure, and you get the travel price back without the Flex fee. It does not apply to flight-only and hotel-only offers or to the ETI MIXX offer.
Several rooms cannot be booked in one go online. For that you have to call the service centre. Also check what the price includes before you submit: luggage, transfer and board depend on the individual offer.
Deposit, payment and cancellation
- A deposit is due right after booking. For package holidays to Egypt it is 10 percent, for all other destinations and for MIXY offers 20 percent.
- The balance must be paid at the latest 21 days before departure. If less than 21 days lie between booking and departure, the full price is due immediately.
- After the online booking you first get a confirmation email with your booking number and later an invoice that makes the booking binding.
- Package holidays are protected by the DRSF insolvency guarantee.
There is also the option booking. It reserves an offer for three to seven days without a deposit, and you can cancel free of charge during that time. It only works if departure is at least 28 days away and not for MIXY offers. When the period ends, the trip is booked automatically and becomes binding.
How to save
The homepage shows time-limited promotions such as early booking discounts for the coming summer season. If you book early and pay a small deposit, you keep your money in your own pocket for longer, but you should know the cancellation terms. For travellers with uncertain dates the Flex option can be cheaper than a later cancellation fee. Work it out for your trip, because it is charged per person and adds up for families.
Tips
- Enter names exactly as they appear in the passport.
- If needed, read the notes on visas and entry on the operator's site.
- Compare several departure airports and dates. The timeline shows how the price changes over the weeks.
- Keep your booking email and invoice.
- According to the site the service centre is reachable Monday to Friday from 8 to 19 hours and on Saturday from 9 to 15 hours.
