Tripster is a booking platform for attraction tickets, show tickets, hotels and vacation packages in popular North American destinations. It prices in US dollars. It is worth a look if you want to book attractions, shows and a place to stay together on a US trip, without clicking through every park or hotel one by one.
What you can book
You pick a destination and see attractions, shows and hotels with live availability. The home page lists popular activities such as the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, the San Diego Zoo or the Kennedy Space Center. Tickets and hotels can be bundled, and the site advertises savings of up to 30 percent on such bundles. Tickets arrive as digital vouchers by e-mail.
What the booking really costs
Tripster shows starting prices per person. The help page says they are guaranteed at the moment of purchase but can change until then, because partners may update their prices at any time. In the cart, check three things above all: whether taxes and fees are already in the price, whether fees apply per person or per booking, and whether a hotel asks for an incidental deposit at check-in. The help page lists these questions, and the answers are given per product.
If you pay from another country, the currency matters. Charges are in US dollars, and your bank may add a foreign transaction fee on card payments. Factor that into your total. A buy-now-pay-later option called FlexPay is described on the site, so check its cost before you use it.
Cancellation and payment
Cancellation terms differ by attraction, show or hotel. Each product page states whether the ticket is refundable, partially refundable or non-refundable, along with the deadline. Refundable items can be cancelled free of charge before that deadline. Non-refundable tickets can neither be changed nor cancelled after purchase. Read that note before you click buy, especially for open-air shows and weather risk. After purchase you find your tickets in the confirmation e-mail and in your account under order history.
How to save
The site has promotional prices and bundles of tickets and hotel. We currently have no coupons for Tripster. You can see the current cashback rate on our provider page. Switch off your ad blocker and tracking protection and begin the booking via the daily cashback link. If you already had tickets in your cart, empty it first.
Booking with cashback
The cashback runs through daily cashback. Here is how to go about it:
- Open the daily cashback store page for Tripster.
- Click through to Tripster and start your booking from scratch.
- Book as usual and finish everything in one go, in the same browser.
The credit arrives once the trip is confirmed.
Who Tripster is for
The platform is mostly interesting for travellers who visit several attractions in a US destination and want to secure the tickets in advance. If you need only a single ticket, also compare the price with the attraction ticket office. Note that Tripster sells tickets on behalf of its vendors: prices, seats and rooms are set by the partners, not the platform. If a show is cancelled, the site says you should contact the provider for a refund.
Tips
- Plan to arrive about 15 to 30 minutes before the start at attractions, the exact advice is in the voucher.
- Check age and height requirements before you buy tickets for children.
- Save the vouchers offline on your phone.
- Keep the order confirmation until the trip and the cashback credit are done.
