Forces Car Hire is a British price comparison for car hire. The site shows offers from many rental companies and supports forces charities with every booking. You do not need to register or enter a code, it is open to everyone. It suits you if you want to compare airport car hire and care about clear rental conditions.
What you can book
Car hire is the core. The home page lists destinations such as London Heathrow, Malaga, Faro, Paphos, Rhodes, Naples, Alicante, Lyon, Munich, Orlando, Sydney, Auckland, Cape Town and Phuket. There are also airport parking and a flight search. The site promotes deals on parking at UK airports.

What a booking really costs
Forces Car Hire is a comparison service, and your rental contract is with the rental company. That is why rental conditions differ from offer to offer. The provider itself advises reading them closely, especially the fuel policy. For each offer you find the conditions behind the Rental Conditions link. They cover driver age, licence, deposit, insurance, mileage, additional drivers, taxes and fees as well as the cancellation rule.
Third party liability, collision damage waiver and theft cover are normally included, usually with an excess. The rental company holds that amount at pick-up as a deposit on the main driver credit card. At minimum that is the excess plus fuel plus VAT. The hold is released after the return if there is no new damage, but it can take a few days. Whether a debit card is enough is shown with the offer.
You can often buy extra cover against the excess (Damage Refund) when you book. It reimburses the excess after a claim, but you pay first and claim the money back later. Weigh the cost of the extra cover against the risk.
Cancellation and changes
On the home page the provider advertises free cancellation. Which deadline applies to your offer is in the rental conditions. You cancel through the link in your confirmation email. Changes such as other pick-up or drop-off times go through the support page. The provider points out that you may not get the same rate as on the original booking, because rental companies change their rates often.
Documents and payment
With a UK driving licence you do not need an international driving permit in the EU, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein, with a few exceptions for paper licences. Some rental companies check online for penalty points. For that you get a code that is valid for 21 days and can be used once. Bring the voucher from your confirmation to the pick-up. You can filter the search by accepted card types.
How to save
The provider mentions regular flash sales and discounts on airport parking. Whether a code applies is shown on our provider page. For cashback, only use coupons listed there for this provider. Also compare fuel policies: a full tank at pick-up and drop-off is often cheaper than buying a tank from the rental company.
Booking with cashback
The cashback runs through daily cashback. Here is how to do it:
- Open the daily cashback store page for Forces Car Hire and click through to the provider from there.
- Pick your booking and pay as usual with Forces Car Hire.
- Finish everything in the same browser tab, without visiting other sites in between.
The reward is credited once the trip is confirmed. You can see the current rate on the Forces Car Hire provider page at TripPrice. You book directly with Forces Car Hire.
